A double-female coupling for joining two garden hoses together, or for connecting a male hose end to another male fitting. Solid brass throughout, with swivel collars at both ends so you can tighten the connection without twisting the hose itself.
What it solves
Most hose problems come down to two male ends that need to meet. Extending a run, joining a cut hose back together, connecting a hose to a sprinkler that ends in a male thread — all of them need this fitting. Without it people improvise with tape and clamps, which leaks within a week.
Dual swivel design
Both collars rotate independently of the body. That means you can thread each side on and snug it up without kinking the hose or unscrewing the joint you just made — a genuine convenience when one end is already fixed to a tap or reel.
Specifications
- Thread: 3/4" GHT female on both ends (standard US garden hose thread)
- Material: solid brass
- Size: approximately 1.1 inches long, 1.2 inches across
- Quantity: 2 connectors
Fitting notes
These seal on a rubber washer, not on the threads — so thread seal tape is unnecessary here and won't fix a leak. If the joint weeps, check the washer inside the collar first; a flattened or missing washer is the cause nine times out of ten, and replacements cost pennies.
Disconnect and store indoors before a hard freeze. Trapped water expands and will crack even solid brass.
