About Twinkle Star
Twinkle Star makes two kinds of things: lighting that makes an outdoor space worth sitting in after dark, and the unglamorous brass hardware that keeps a garden tap from leaking. They seem unrelated until you own a yard, at which point you need both.
What we sell
Our catalogue covers five areas:
- String lights and fairy lights — warm white curtain lights for bedrooms and weddings, star-shaped plug-in strands, and battery-operated copper wire lights with remotes and timers.
- Outdoor and solar lights — solar pathway stakes, hanging coach lanterns on shepherd hooks, and lighted decorative trees. No wiring, dusk-to-dawn operation.
- Garden watering and hose fittings — solid brass splitters, quick connectors, shut-off valves, twist nozzles and hose guides in 3/4" GHT.
- Pressure washer parts and accessories — 4000 PSI hoses, M22 and 3/8" adapter kits, nozzle tips, O-rings, inlet filters and sewer jetter kits.
- Holiday and seasonal decorations — festive lighting for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
How we choose what to stock
Three things decide whether a product makes it into the range.
It has to survive a season outdoors. Light sets rated for outdoor use carry IP44 or better on both the string and the transformer, and plug-in sets use UL-certified transformers. Anything that only works in a catalogue photo doesn't make it.
Brass, not plated. Our hose hardware is solid brass with proper O-ring seals rather than plated zinc. It costs more to make and it's noticeably heavier — our shut-off valve weighs 7 oz where a typical alternative weighs 5.6 oz. That weight is copper content, and it's the reason our fittings are still working after the plated ones have seized.
Parts you can replace. Where we can, we choose fixtures with replaceable standard-size batteries and stock the O-rings and washers that wear out. A light you can put a new AA cell into lasts years longer than a sealed one.
Advice, not just products
We publish practical guides twice a week on the Twinkle Star blog — how to hang outdoor string lights without damaging your walls, how to trace low water pressure through a hose system, when to start decorating for Halloween, what to do when solar lights stop charging. They're written to be useful whether or not you buy anything, and several of them will save you the cost of a replacement.
Getting in touch
Questions about fit, compatibility or an order go to service@twinklestarshop.com, or through our contact page. If you're unsure whether a fitting matches your machine or a light set will reach across your pergola, ask before you order — we'd rather answer a question than process a return.
Our shipping policy and return and warranty policy set out timelines and coverage in full.
